Yoga Nidra & Meditation

Yoga Nidra is a practice of deep relaxation where the practitioner will be comfortable laying on Savasava and is guided through a meditative journey.
Yoga Nidra is literally translated as Yogic sleep, as the deep relaxation of a sleeping state will be felt on physical level. However the practitioner will not be sleeping but on a journey of pure awareness, with the benefit of becoming closer to the subconscious mind.
It is a very beneficial practice to let go of stress and anxious states of mind, stimulating the release of the ‘good’ hormones into our body.
This class will be guided by Catarina.
Catarina is an inspired Yoga teacher that has been exploring Yoga and spiritual practices since 2008. She started her Yoga practice in Sintra with an Iyengar teacher and after moving to Amsterdam she explored other styles of this beautiful practice. She took a teacher training (200h Hatha-Vinyasa in Kerala, south of India).
Living between Amsterdam and South East Asia, teaching and studying Yoga, she’s been trained also in Yoga Nidra (20 h, Amsterdam) and Yin Yoga (100 h, Bali) and she loves the restorative practices and the benefits of finding the balance of the Yin and Yang in our lives.
2020 brought me back to Portugal, my home country, to share my biggest passion: Yoga as the union with the self!
