Once you dive into the world of yoga, you have several options. Choose between physically demanding class or an easy, relaxing, meditative classes. We try to explain them all.

HATHA YOGA

If you are new to the world of yoga, this yoga tradition most familiar to our Western culture is a perfect entry point to start your practice. In general Hatha includes most yoga styles.

Meaning

In Sanskrit (a ancient indian language) Hatha stands for ha meaning “sun” and tha, meaning “moon”. However, the wird Hatha literally means “effort,” “force,” or “exertion.
Haha Yoga includes the practice of postures called asanas and breathing techniques referred to as pranayama. Both help you bring peace to your mind and body and prepares you for a deeper meditation.

  • Adho Mukha Svanasana (Downward-Facing Dog Pose)
  • Baddha Konasana (Cobbler Pose)
